Artist's Description
Colorful grass in autumn being blown about by wind creating an impressionistic feel of soft movement. When I came across these tall and colorful grasses in south-east Idaho, the strong breezes were making them sway and flow. As a breeze would move across the grass it would sometimes twist and appear to almost change directions. This reminded me of a painters brush working cheerfully across a canvas. It was precisely this movement and apparent blending of color that I wanted to capture. After composing I slowed the shutter way down and let the wind do the rest.
