Idaho, central, High mountain lake at sunset in the Pioneer Mountains. Knowing the potential for great light after a thundershower, I headed out as soon as the pounding hail stopped rattling my tent and ran to the area I had recognized as having potential the day before. The conditions were perfect as the sun went below the horizon and cast light on the peaks and clouds. A sunset this bright reflects warm colored and shadow filling light on the land below.
