Moon Dog with cloud formations. A moon dog is a relatively rare circular halo caused by the refraction of moonlight from ice crystals in cirrus clouds. In this case, some particularly thick and fast-moving clouds created a swath of light streaks. Captured while standing on a high mountain ridge in central Idaho.
