Utah, southern, Upper Calf Creek Falls in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument area, Calf Creek Preserve. Upper Calf Creek Falls in southern Utah is a desert oasis. There were occasional wind gusts during my last visit, which pushed the misty waterfall over to one side revealing the rich green mosses where the water normally hits the sandstone. reflected light from low lying clouds created a nice warm glow filling the shadows.
